We are proud to collaborate with the Northwest Jacksonville CDC and Feeding Northeast Florida, thereby strengthening our ability to uplift and empower those in need. Through these partnerships, we extend our reach, ensuring that essential resources and support are available to the communities we serve. Senior Ministry
At Higher Ground Ministries, our Seniors Ministry—The Best of Life is a vibrant community where wisdom, experience, and faith come together.
Designed to uplift and empower seniors, this ministry fosters connection through enriching fellowship, spiritual growth, and engaging activities. Whether through Bible studies, social gatherings, or service opportunities, we celebrate this stage of life as a time for purpose, joy, and continued personal and spiritual development.
A key part of our ministry is our quarterly luncheons, where seniors gather for a time of fellowship and encouragement. During these gatherings, we invite resource providers to share vital information on health, financial well-being, and community services, ensuring that our seniors remain informed, supported, and empowered.

Pure Religion Ministry
Inspired by James 1:27, Pure Religion Ministries at Higher Ground Ministries is dedicated to serving the most vulnerable among us—children in need of families and widows seeking support and community.
Our ministry consists of two key pillars:

Adoptive & Foster Care Support – We are honored to partner with One Church One Child of Florida, which has a satellite office located at Higher Ground. Through this partnership, we provide resources, guidance, and encouragement to families answering the call to adoption and foster care, ensuring that every child experiences love, stability, and hope.

Widow Support – Through our partnership with We Are Still Here (WASH), we offer a compassionate support network for widows, creating spaces for healing, connection, and empowerment. Whether through spiritual guidance, social gatherings, or resource-sharing, we walk alongside widows as they navigate life’s transitions, ensuring they remain embraced by community and faith.

Pastor Dwight E. Brisbane Sr. Memorial Scholarship
Annually Higher Ground Ministries has proudly awarded the Pastor Dwight E. Brisbane Sr. Memorial Scholarship, honoring the legacy of our founder a visionary leader dedicated to faith, education, and community empowerment.
This annual scholarship provides financial assistance to high school graduates pursuing higher education, ensuring that their dreams of college become a reality. Through this initiative, we continue Pastor Brisbane’s commitment to uplifting the next generation, equipping them with the resources and encouragement needed to succeed academically and beyond.
